No matter what profession you now have, be it doctor, lawyer or basketball coach, it is your skills and education that determine your status. That knowledge you poses will either take you to a higher class in your community or push you out the door. In general, it is your skill and knowledge that is responsible for the level of success you achieve.
Many people think that making money is the only reason to trade, but professionals see that income as a byproduct. Here again, it is your skills and knowledge that will protect your investments. Almost all new businesses began with first seeding money as in a line of credit or having investors and the trading world is just like that.
Trading is a business and focused on protecting your capitol. If you are having trouble consistently making money with your trading, then sit back and look at your knowledge of trading compared to those how are successful. Find out what they know that you do not. Along with skill and knowledge, there is habits, attitude and psychology. Check them all out and broaden your horizons.
